The Mandalorian season two will come to Disney+ in October and fans can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. There are so many questions about the season and who will make an appearance. Most recently, there has been speculation that Ahsoka Tano will make her live-action debut sometime in season 2.
The filming for season 2 had finished by early March and luckily beat the virus outbreak, so there should not be a delay there. The second season will hopefully answer some questions, but with this recent news, I doubt we’ll find the child’s home any time soon.
Variety has reported that the third season of The Mandalorian is already in the works. “Jon Favreau has been writing season 3 for a while and the art department, led by Lucasfilm vice president and executive director Doug Chiang, has been creating concepts for season 3 for the past few weeks.”
This is exciting news, we’ll get some more of that fantastic concept art that they feature at the end of each episode. The artists are hard at work, while Favreau is working with the writing team to get the script finished. It seems that with all the delays going on, The Mandalorian season 2 and 3 will stay on track.
They also report that they “just started pre-production” and “are looking into further adventures for the Mandalorian in season 3.”
The pre-production started on April 20th and this process takes the most time. At least we know that plenty more Mando and baby Yoda is coming in the future. Disney+ is trying to pump out the Star Wars content and soon enough we will have plenty of options.
There will also be an 8-episode documentary coming May 4th to Dinsey+ that shows the behind-the-scenes of season one of The Mandalorian. They will release the episodes weekly, similar to the show.
Thank you for reading and may the force be with you.
